Animal Welfare Fund (AWF) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation governed by an independent board of directors. We operate as a local federation in the Combined Federal Campaign, supporting charities with a range of services provided at low and predictable cost.
Our members are 501(c)(3) tax exempt organizations that help local communities rescue and protect animals. Each member organization meets the high standards of governance and programmatic impact required by the campaigns we enter.
AWF is active across the country, raising and distributing hundreds of thousands of dollars. Please contact us if you are interested in participating in the CFC.
New Sister Federations
Animal Welfare Fund is pleased to assist in the launch of three sister federations that will participate in the 2017 Combined Federal Campaign:
We invite current members of Animal Welfare Fund and others to contact us if to join one of these new federations.
Workplace Giving Alliance
AWF is a founding member of the Workplace Giving Alliance (WGA), a family of federations participating in fundraising campaigns in the public sector.
Together, WGA federations represent over 500 charitable organizations working in nearly every sector of the non-profit world. This partnership is committed to upholding a high standard of efficiency, transparency and stewardship of pledged funds. Find out more about WGA.
WGA's Vision for Workplace Fundraising
We see the payroll deduction, which characterizes most workplace giving, as a way for people with modest resources to become philanthropists. Payroll philanthropists are stunningly generous, supporting thousands of charities in their own communities and around the world.
As strong advocates of payroll philanthropy, we are dedicated to the success and integrity of the campaigns that enable it. We also strive to honor donors by getting every possible dollar to the charities they select and by being transparent about operational costs.
